Get Various Cushion Foam Varieties

By Hannah Roberto

The market has different cushion foam types depending on intended uses. The materials vary in sturdiness and softness which makes them appropriate for the task chosen. Variety ensures that you get the right type to guarantee comfort in each case. These materials are certified by regulating bodies as a guarantee that they meet the best standards demanded in the market.

Advanced technology has ensured that the products released to the market are the highest quality. They are free of CFCs, heavy metal and ozone depleters, among other harmful properties. They are made to last long and without any dangerous emissions. Such standards inspire comfort and confidence in users. It is such properties that determine where different varieties of cushions will be used.

The medium firmness of poly foams indicates a material that is meant for occasional use. Among the other places this material is used are making children mattresses as well as packaging. Its density is not high and it has a lifespan of about two years on the higher side. It can be used for reception seats where visitors do not spend a lot of time.

Super soft foams are also used on areas where there are no long sitting episodes. They can be used as cushions for the back of a coach or as mattresses or toppers for persons suffering from bed sores. Their density is much lower but this is with a reason. They have a longer lifespan that extends up to five years. It takes longer to replace the cushions which makes them functional and affordable in the long run.

Different varieties of regular foam cushions are available. They include the plain high density variety which is used on mattresses, chairs, cushions and benches. On the other hand is the Lux variety that ranks higher in terms of density. It is also used on benches, chairs and cushions and has an estimated standard lifespan of seven years.

Increase in density leads to firmer lux variety as well as higher density regular cushions. High density allows these two varieties to be used where the traffic is intense. This includes busy restaurants, receptions and other areas where clients are being served in large numbers. With a lifespan of over seventeen years, it can effectively handle continued use. They even last longer when used as mattresses.

Dry fast foam is the preferred material for outdoor use. It is durable when handled with care and best suited for outdoor space because it dries or drains water very fast. Some of the areas it can be used include patio furniture, boat seats and mattresses as well as garden furniture. It feels comfortable in all weather conditions.

There is more comfort when the right cushion foam is used on seats. It guarantees conformity to the prevailing weather conditions and the traffic in the environment. The right material means that the intervals or replacement are far apart and therefore the cost is minimized. There is a need to differentiate cushions used indoors and those used outdoors.
