Beautiful And Timeless Silver Chiavari Chairs

You have probably heard about Chiavarina, or Tiffany chair. This beautifully designed, elegant and timeless piece of furniture was designed more than two hundred years ago, by Italian craftsman Giuseppe Gaetano Descalzi, in 1807. It was named after a town he lived in, Chiavari. Silver Chiavari chairs are especially popular, and many craftsmen in Italy still make them on the old way.

These lovely, elegant and timeless chairs are still in use in the State Dining Room, as well as in Family dining Room in the White House. At current American president Barack Obama inauguration, his family and guests were sitting on silver Chiavari chairs. For more than two centuries now, these simple and elegant pieces of furniture are appreciated all over the world.

It is so easy to stalk them as well. It makes them perfect for rental purposes, because you can store a large number of them very easily. It is also quite easy to maintain them, as long as they are appropriately protected while in storage. Simple cleaning will be more than enough.

Originally, they were made of wild cherry and maple wood, and after that, also of beech wood and ash. The seats were made using purple willow. Thin strips of wood were hand woven and tied according to Mr. Descalzi's instructions. The same traditional method is still used in his home town and nearby places in numerous small manufacturing facilities.

These lovely pieces of furniture are surprisingly light and strong at the same time. Comfortable and beautifully designed, they are widely appreciated and loved. It would be hard to imagine the perfect wedding ceremony without widely popular white Chiavarinas. Although silver and gold finishes are more suited for different special events, today you can find Chiavarinas made from all kinds of materials, and in all imaginable colors.

These chairs are so elegantly shaped that they really can fit in any environment, luxurious or cozy. They have some kind o timeless elegance and simplicity which just cannot be replicated easily, although many designers have tried. In one word, a real work of art. It is possible that this chair is the most famous and the most widely used chair ever.

Some other materials became popular in the last few decades. For example, mahogany. Mahogany has numerous attractive characteristics, and especially appealing, deep brown color with just a hint of red in it. In combination with this lovely design, it makes just a perfect combination for any interior decoration. Lighter, more golden colors of a walnut and cherry are also quite popular.

White Chiavarina is mostly used for weddings and similar events. It is especially elegant and will perfectly fit in any decoration. Used for indoor and outdoor weddings, it can be combined with different colors of cushions, fresh flowers or some other decorative elements. Glossy black and custom painted pieces are also available in most shops specialized for this type of furniture.

Even so, white, gold and silver Chiavari chairs are the most appreciated ones of all. They are just perfect for any special occasion, simple, lightweight and especially elegant. Formal dinner, wedding or inauguration ceremony, it doesn't matter. Everything will look perfectly with these beautiful and timeless pieces of furniture.
