An Excellent Option for a Vacation

By Yvonne Brixey

If you are looking for a mountain property, properties in Utah are an excellent option to consider. A Utah mountain property is unique in that if you find one close to Salt Lake City, you are not only close to world class recreational areas, but also a metropolitan city and airport. In fact, Utah is one of the few places in North America where you can fly into the city airport in the morning and be at a ski resort before noon.

Another reason to consider a mountain property in Utah is that mountain real estate is relatively inexpensive compared to Aspen or other another high-end ski resort mountain area. But while the properties are less expensive compared to other similar mountain properties, the quality of the property you are getting, and its proximity to excellent land recreation and the sort of amenities you would expect from a resort city, are on par, if not better than what you find in a swanky town like Aspen.

The mountain property that can be found in Utah also offers easy access to year-round recreational activities - so you would be buying something much more than a ski property. If lake activities are more your speed in the summer, then Deer Valley reservoir will be able to satisfy your yen for everything lake and water recreational.

Utah mountain property is a good investment as far a mountain properties go because southern Utah is considered such a recreational playground and is only 2-4 hours from most of the mountain property found in Utah. Southern Utah offers another bevy of high-end resort properties and unique National Park and red rock topography with more great lake and other summertime recreational options. This proximity and its popularity can only be considered an enhancement to the value of your mountain real estate.

The type of mountain property available is as varied as the recreational options that Utah offers. There are homes to be had in the peripheral heights of Salt Lake City where plenty of stately homes have been built on the ridge overlooking the Salt Lake City valley; condo, cabin and proper full-size homes can all be secured on some of the mountain property associated with a resort in Park City; and finally, the likes of Soldier Hollow and other more expansive mountain land near and in the area of Summit County that is still in development offers mountain property with a greater amount of land and the opportunity to build custom homes.

Ski property or mountain property with ample land to enjoy in the winter or summer that is still affordable, with easy access to a city is not a fictitious sort of mountain property. Rather, Utah offers the chance for you to take advantage of mountain land and invest in real estate with many desirable recreational opportunities working in its favor. If you've ever wanted a mountain property that's within a stone's throw of a world class resort, has great lake activities in the summer and lets you explore some of North America's great National Parks, Utah is a good place to look into for that mountain property. An Excellent Option for Vacation Home
