Feng Shui Office - How To Feng Shui Your Desk

By Raymond Chang

Making your study area or workspace into a feng shui office and mastering easy-to-use techniques to feng shui your desk is straight forward and a great way to increase your success in business matters.

Wealth and career matters are two of the most important aspects of your life that feng shui helps you to improve.

Your desk is the most important piece of furniture in your workspace, which may be your home study or your desk in your office at work.

These days many people work remotely and don't have designated desks in their office at work. Comapnies are doing this more and more to promote collaboration in the workplace and to reduce real estate costs. It is recommended that you have a designated desk space despite these modern trends.

Below are eight easy ways to create your feng shui office.

1.) recognize that having a dedicated desk space of your own is something you actually need! This will help you to feel more peace of mind, steadiness and consistency in your daily routine.

2.) Each object on your desk needs to have its own place.

3.) Make sure your desk has a strong lamp to keep it well lit when you are working in a dark or dingy environment.

4.) Make sure that all wiring to electronic devices is neat and tidy, and positioned in a way that means you will not have any risk of tripping over cables.

5.) Your legs should not be revealed to people who enter the room.

6.) Your desk needs to be the right size, not too big or too small.

7.) Ensure that there is a solid wall directly behind you (not glass), but also ensure that you are not too close to the wall to cause you to feel uncomfortable. There should be at least 70 cm between your back and the wall.

8.) If the ceiling is sloping, you should not have your desk under it. See if you can move to another part of the room or another room entirely. If this is a no go, then make sure your desk is under the highest point of the sloping ceiling.

You should start seeing more success in your business if you make these easy changes.
