Get Better Sleep With These Unusual Feng Shui Tips

By Raymond Chang

If you suffer from, or have every suffered from insomnia (as I have in the past), you will know how much it can wreak havoc on your daily routine and suck the energy out of you. Knowing how to use feng shui to cure insomnia can be just what you need to get your body clock back into sync with the rest of your timezone.

Of course, we recommend that for any health issues including insomnia or other related matters, you should alway consult your physician before anything else. In addition to seeking medical expertise, you may benefit from changing the feng shui of your bedroom.

Feng shui For A Better Night's Sleep

You may have already considered that the feng shui of your bedroom may be causing your lack of sleep. You may have made some of the more obvious adjustments already. But there are a few other things that many people don't know about that we will look at in this article.

Aside from those obvious things, there are some less apparent things that may be causing the problem. One example is electromagnetic frequencies being created in your room by anything that is plugged into an electrical socket. It is recommended that you unplug all nearby lamps and sleep far away from the fuse box in the house.

Also consider changing your hair dryer to use a low EMF (electro-magnetic forcefield) one. Although expensive, these can definitely help because regular hair dryers with motors inside them produce and emit a huge amount of EMF energy directly onto your head, often just before you go to bed at night. You may also want to try these things:

Avoid having the bed in a corner of the room.

Don't have your bed next to a window

Use pastels and other calming colors on the walls in the room.

Don't have the bed directly in line with the door. Don't sleep with your feet facing the bedroom door either. This is referred to as the 'coffin position' in feng shui and is very bad luck.

If your bedroom has an en suite bathroom, keep it clean, keep the toilet seat down at all times and keep the door to this bathroom closed as often as possible.

Use the bedroom only for sleep or relaxation and not for work.

Keep the Bedroom free of clutter. Also avoid too much furniture in the bedroom.

Take out any water features such as aquariums or shells from the bedroom.

If you follow all of these tips you should get a much better night's sleep.
