Imagine Nintendo Characters Running a Mattress Store

By Rob Sutter

If you were to ask me which area of my home is the most comfortable, I have to say it's my bedroom. After all, it's the one spot in the world that I go to when I'm ready to call it day and prepare for the next. This level of comfort cannot be ignored but what also is difficult to cast aside is the cast of characters from Nintendo itself. These are the ones I adored for so long and when considering the level of ease they have as well, they may have an easy time running a mattress store.

Companies such as Sleepy's keep the customer in mind since you are greeted by someone who does sales when you step inside. They will lead you around to the many options in order to show you which of them will be most ideal. If Nintendo characters were in charge of a mattress store, such a mantra would be followed, though a bit differently. Mario, for example, would be the one to speak to you and demonstrate samples. If you saw Mario jumping up and down on one bed, I'm sure that "silly" would be a word that sprung to mind.

For the one to do the physical work, I could see Link being that person. The hero from "The Legend of Zelda" is quite strong due to how much impact swordplay and the like have been on him. He can practically do anything, I would imagine. I can see Link lifting mattresses up over his shoulders and bringing them down onto the sales floor before going back to attain more, proving just how valuable he can be as the muscle.

Who would be in charge of the transactions, though? You might need someone who can count every last cent and in this case, Wario would be best choice. It's a well-known fact that he adores riches and as he's shown in the past, he would disregard saving the damsel in distress if a sack of gold coins was placed in front of his face. In order for every transaction go over without a hitch, perhaps this money-loving mustachioed character would be perfect.

These are just a few instances to speak of but I'm sure that people can count off others if they so choose. Nintendo characters possess a sense of uniqueness that isn't quite prevalent in other companies. While most other companies pride themselves on having realistic characters, Nintendo's various properties belong in a fairytale world and that's comforting in itself. While I'm provided with ease thanks to the Marios and Links of video games, the right bedding supports me well in the realm we live in.
